Welcome NMT Presenters to the NMT Symposium 2020 Zoom training reference page.

We are so thankful you have chosen to share with us this year. We are excited to hear from you. In order to make this year's virtual NMT Symposium have the feel of our normal Symposiums there are a few things we need you to review before the Symposium starts.

We are using Zoom meeting this year due to the global issues and uncertain travel accommodations. Please review the information below to help make your presentation smooth and effortless. 

Pointers and Tips in Presenting using Zoom.

• Make sure you have good lighting. Lighting for video is very important.
  • You want a well light area to present from.
  • Be careful not to sit in direct sunlight. (defused light is better)

• Reliable Audio
  • You will want to use a headset (Bluetooth or wired)
    • Do not use your computer's speakers and built in microphone.
      • This will help avoid possible feedback and sound quality issues during your presentation.

• Location
  
  • You will want to chose a place to present from with few distractions for you. 
  • A calm place is best.
  • keep in mind your background. Try to avoid a place with movement and distractions behind you for your veiwers.
  • An alternative in Zoom is a virtual background.
    • Zoom offers a great feature called the Virtual background. You can use any picture you want to put behind you. You just need a blank wall behind you. • Screen Sharing/power point presentation in Zoom

  • You will need to share your own PowerPoint. 
    • This is simple to do. (HOW TO FROM ZOOM)
